Biography

Actor Philip Bourneuf was widely known for his presence on the silver screen. Bourneuf's career in acting began with his roles in various films like "Joan of Arc" (1950) with Ingrid Bergman, the drama "The Big Night" (1951) with John Drew Barrymore and "Everything But the Truth" (1956) with Maureen O'Hara. He also appeared in the Richard Beymer dramatic adaptation "Adventures of a Young Man" (1962). He kept working in film throughout the sixties and the seventies, starring in the dramatic adaptation "The Arrangement" (1969) with Kirk Douglas and the Richard Harris period drama "The Molly Maguires" (1970). He also starred in the TV movies "Istanbul Express" (NBC, 1968-69) and "The Last Child" (ABC, 1971-72). In the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in the Walter Matthau comedy "Pete 'n' Tillie" (1972) and the dramatic adaptation "The Man" (1972) with James Earl Jones. He also was featured in the TV movie "Babe" (CBS, 1975-76). Bourneuf last appeared in "Captains and the Kings" (1976-77). Bourneuf was married to Frances Reid. Bourneuf passed away in March 1979 at the age of 71.
