Biography
Mavis Villiers was an actor with a strong presence in film throughout his Hollywood career. Villiers started off his career in film with roles in "The Mouse That Roared" (1959) with Peter Sellers, the James Mason comedic adaptation "A Touch of Larceny" (1960) and "Suddenly, Last Summer" (1960) with Elizabeth Taylor. Later, he acted in "The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone" (1961) with Vivien Leigh, "Victim" (1961) and "The Boys" (1963). He also appeared in "The Haunting" (1963) with Julie Harris and the Nicol Williamson dramatic adaptation "Laughter in the Dark" (1969). Later in his career, Villiers appeared in "Mousey" (ABC, 1973-74). Villiers passed away in January 1976 at the age of 61.
