Biography
Talented young actress best remembered for playing Lana Turner's sensitive daughter in the fine screen adaptation of Grace Metalious' best-selling "Peyton Place" (1957). Varsi won an Oscar nomination as best supporting actress for her work, but soon grew very unhappy with Hollywood and walked out on her contract. She later resumed her career in the mid-1960s and subsequently appeared in supporting roles in mostly low-budget films.
