Biography
Paul Sutton was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Sutton landed roles in various films, including "Jungle Jim" (1937), "Under Strange Flags" (1937) and "Air Devils" (1938). He also appeared in the western "Bar 20 Justice" (1938) with George "Gabby" Hayes. He kept working in film throughout the thirties, starring in "In Old Mexico" (1938) with George "Gabby" Hayes, "Shadows Over Shanghai" (1938) and the William Hall spy thriller "The Spy Ring" (1938). He also appeared in the adaptation "Balalaika" (1939) with Nelson Eddy. In the latter part of his career, he continued to act in "Little Old New York" (1940), the musical drama "New Wine" (1941) with Ilona Massey and the Henry Fonda western "Wild Geese Calling" (1941). He also appeared in "In Old California" (1942) with John Wayne. Sutton was most recently credited in "Preppies" (1984). Sutton passed away in January 1970 at the age of 60.
