Biography
Jim Smith has built an incredible presence on the big screen throughout his acting career. Smith's earliest roles were in film, including the dramatic adaptation "The Grasshopper" (1970) with Jacqueline Bisset, the drama "The Prodigal" (1984) with John Hammond and the Susan Dey comedy "Echo Park" (1986). He also appeared in "The Naked Gun - From the Files of Police Squad!" (1988). Smith also contributed his voice to characters in "Ren Hoek and Stimpy in" (1990). He continued to act in productions like the Chevy Chase comedic adaptation "Man of the House" (1995). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Shadow of a Doubt" (NBC, 1995). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Marshal" (ABC, 1994-96). He also was featured in the TV movies "Unwed Father" (1997-98), "The Inspectors" (Showtime, 1998-99) and "Two of Hearts" (Fox Family Channel, 1998-99). Smith most recently acted in the comedy "The Long Weekend" (2006) with Chris Klein.
