Biography
Young, prolific producer of both mainstream and art-house projects; the latter group includes five collaborations with Godard, including "Detective" (1985), which Sarde co-wrote. He has also worked with Bertrand Blier, Bertrand Tavernier and Claude Sautet. Sarde began his career as an assistant to Marco Ferreri, founding the Sara Films company in 1975 and Sarde Film Productions in 1983.
