Biography
Herbert Nelson was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In 1941, he made his Broadway debut in "The Night Before Christmas." His acting career began with roles in the series "Guiding Light" (CBS, 1951-2009) and "Days of Our Lives" (NBC, 1965-). He also appeared in the TV movie "The Patriots" (NBC, 1963-64). Following that project, he appeared in "The Great Northfield, Minnesota Raid" (1972) and the Richard Widmark drama "When the Legends Die" (1972). He also starred in the TV movies "Earth II" (ABC, 1971-72) and "The Deadly Dream" (ABC, 1971-72). Nelson also appeared in "Keep Off! Keep Off!" (1975), "The Adventures of the Wilderness Family" (1975) with Robert Logan and "The Hindenburg" (1975). He also was featured in the TV movie "Future Cop" (ABC, 1975-76). Nelson last appeared in "Grambling's White Tiger" (NBC, 1981-82). Nelson passed away in July 1990 at the age of 77.
