Biography
Donna Mitchell was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In her early acting career, Mitchell appeared in such films as the biopic "The Happy Hooker" (1975) with Lynn Redgrave, the dramatic adaptation "The Bell Jar" (1979) with Marilyn Hassett and the Lauren Bacall thriller "The Fan" (1981). She also appeared in the Andrew McCarthy drama "Less Than Zero" (1987) and the Dan Aykroyd comedy "The Couch Trip" (1988). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like "Shadows in the Storm" (1989) and the action film "The Rookie" (1990) with Clint Eastwood. Recently, she continued to act in the Ed Harris dramatic adaptation "Pollock" (2000), the Janeane Garofalo comedy "Wet Hot American Summer" (2001) and "Mona Lisa Smile" (2003). She also appeared in the drama "Bomb the System" (2005) with Mark Webber and "The Baxter" (2005) with Michael Showalter. Most recently, Mitchell acted on "The Affair" (Showtime, 2014-).
