Biography
Merata Mita worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Mita started off his entertainment career directing independent films like "Patu!" (1983) and "Mauri" (1989) with Anzac Wallace. In addition to directing, Mita appeared on the big screen as an actor in the Anzac Wallace adventure "Utu" (1983). In the nineties and the 2010s, Mita devoted his time to various credits, such as "Flying Fox in a Freedom Tree" (1990) starring Faifua Amiga Jr., "Mana Waka" (1990) starring Turangawaewae Marae and "Under Siege 2: Dark Territory" (1995) starring Steven Seagal. He also worked on "Hotere" (2001) and "Spooked" with Cliff Curtis (2005). Mita most recently worked on the drama "Boy" (2012) with James Rolleston.
