Biography
David McCharen worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Early on in his acting career, McCharen landed roles in various films, including the Robin Williams musical comedy "Popeye" (1980), "Cheech and Chong's Nice Dreams" (1981) with Cheech Marin and the comedy "A Fistful of Chopsticks" (1982) with Johnny Yune. He also appeared in the sci-fi flick "Runaway" (1984) with Tom Selleck. McCharen also contributed his voice to characters in "Vamp" (1986) with Chris Makepeace. After that, McCharen moved on to lend his vocal talents for roles in films like the dramedy "Coupe de Ville" (1990) with Alan Arkin, the Judith Hoag hit action picture "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (1990) and the Charlie Sheen action movie "Men At Work" (1990). In addition to his voice work, he appeared on camera in "Ghost Dad" (1990). Most recently, McCharen voiced characters in the Ray Romano smash hit animated sequel "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" (2009).
