Scott Macdonald
Biography
Biography
A familiar face to fans of "Star Trek"'s fictional sci-fi universe, actor Scott MacDonald holds the rare distinction of having appeared in all four series spinoffs, albeit in roles requiring extensive makeup and costuming. An actor on the series since his appearance as Romulan commander N'Vek on "Star Trek: The Next Generation," MacDonald played a range of mostly alien characters, but is best known for his portrayal of Xindi-Reptilian Dolim on the early-'00s series "Star Trek: Enterprise." A graduate of Cal Arts, MacDonald worked in regional theater before securing his first acting jobs on commercials. Since his "Star Trek" debut in 1993, he's appeared frequently on series television, most notably as recurring character Burley on the dustbowl-era drama "Carnivale" and as Captain Manning on the short-lived series "Threshold." MacDonald has also made noteworthy forays into feature films, including a title role in the campy 1996 horror film "Jack Frost," and a memorable performance as Fitch, a loathsome drill instructor, in the 2005 combat drama "Jarhead."
