At the age of four, began performing in his family's band The Love Notes and doing impersonations of Elvis Presley

Made a cameo as Little Elvis in "Honeymoon in Vegas" where he performed Presley's 1961 classic "Can¿t Help Falling in Love"

Moved to Los Angeles and signed with Motown as a solo artist; recording deal dissipated due to lack of marketing his image

Formed the songwriting and production group the Smeezingtons along with fellow music industry hopefuls Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine

The Smeezingtons collaborated with rapper Flo Rida on the catchy hook of his single "Right Round"; track topped the charts and featured in the hit comedy "The Hangover"

Released his debut extended play (EP) album It's Better If You Don't Understand in May, followed by his debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans in October
