Mitchell Laurance was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He also was featured in the miniseries "At Mother's Request" (1986-87). Laurance worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Not Necessarily the News" (HBO, 1982-83). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Not Necessarily Politics" (1983-84), "Not Necessarily Television" (HBO, 1985-86) and "Not Necessarily the Year in Review" (HBO, 1986-87). He next focused his entertainment career on film, appearing in the Terry O'Quinn thriller sequel "Stepfather 2" (1989) and "Syngenor" (1990). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "The Pretenders" (CBS, 1987-88) and "More Best of Not Necessarily the News" (HBO, 1988-89). He also appeared in the horror film "The Runestone" (1992) with Alexander Godunov. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Monroes" (ABC, 1995-96). He also was featured in the TV movies "Matlock: The Legacy" (1992-93), "The Portrait" (TNT, 1992-93) and "Inflammable" (CBS, 1995-96). Laurance most recently acted on "Drop Dead Diva" (Lifetime, 2008-2014).
