Rick James, a talented musician, produced music for many Hollywood productions. James began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like the comedy "A Fine Mess" (1986) with Ted Danson, the mystery thriller "The Bedroom Window" (1987) with Steve Guttenberg and the comedy "Summer School" (1987) with Mark Harmon. His music also appeared in the action picture "Colors" (1988) with Sean Penn, "Look Who's Talking Too" (1990) and "Gladiator" (1992). In the nineties and the early 2000s, James's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like "She's All That" (1999), the Albert Brooks comedy "The Muse" (1999) and the George Clooney action movie "Three Kings" (1999). His work was also in "The Bubble Boy" (2001) with Jake Gyllenhaal. James's music was most recently used in the Vin Diesel smash hit action flick "Furious 7" (2015). James passed away in August 2004 at the age of 56.
