In the eighties and the nineties, Hudson's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like "The Right Stuff" (1983) with Sam Shepard and the Rick Hammontree comedy "Stagefright" (1989). Hudson more recently appeared on "The Band" (1995-96).
