Biography
Joanne Baron was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Baron began her acting career with roles in such films as the Nicolas Cage comedy "Valley Girl" (1983), the Cameron Dye comedy "Joy of Sex" (1984) and "Real Genius" (1985). She also appeared in "Someone to Watch Over Me" (1987) with Tom Berenger, "That's Adequate" (1989) and the Leslie Nielsen comedy adventure "All I Want For Christmas" (1991). Her film career continued throughout the nineties and the early 2000s in productions like "Unglued" (1999), "St. Patrick's Day" (1999) and the musical drama "Brooklyn Babylon" (2001) with Tarik Trotter. She also appeared in "Perfume" (2002) with Paul Sorvino. More recently, she continued to act in the romantic comedy "The Prince & Me" (2004) with Julia Stiles, the Tobey Maguire smash hit action film "Spider-Man 2" (2004) and "Intoxicating" (2004). She also appeared in the Nicki Micheaux drama "God's Waiting List" (2006) and the Hilary Duff comedy "Material Girls" (2006). Baron most recently acted in the biopic drama "Decoding Annie Parker" (2014) with Samantha Morton.
