Biography
Blonde, attractive singer-actress who began her recording career at age eighteen. Hartman's first major role was as the title character of the short-lived TV sitcom "Tabitha" (ABC, 1977-78), in which she played a witch working as a TV production assistant. She gained recognition as the drug-addicted rock star, Neely O'Hara, in the 1981 TV remake of "Jacqueline Susann's 'Valley of the Dolls" and proved so popular on the CBS nighttime soap "Knot's Landing" that when her character, singer Ciji Dunne, was killed off in 1983, Hartman was brought back by popular demand as a new character, Cathy Geary. She has subsequently appeared in a number of TV-movies and specials. Since 1991, she has been married to country singer Clint Black.
