Joining director King Vidor's opening, star Marion Davies (as "Peggy Pepper") and her father the colonel (Dell Henderson) arrive in Hollywood, spying the real John Gilbert entering the fictional "Mammoth" Studios, in the hit comedy Show People, 1928, also starring William Haines.
