Synopsis

An unscrupulous banker, Howard Dundore, and a well-intentioned businessman, Franklin Hall, both want to marry Norma Russell. She chooses Franklin, and for revenge, Howard takes him into the banking business and has a cashier, Horace Scott, falsify Franklin's books. Franklin is sentenced to prison, but to prove his innocence, Norma gets the truth out of Horace and then writes a screenplay based on his story. She brings Howard to the premiere of her movie, as well as Horace, who now has amnesia. The events of the film jog his memory, however, and he publicly denounces Howard in the theater. Howard exits quickly but is killed in a train wreck while trying to leave town. Franklin is released and, after returning to Norma, discovers that his South American rubber plantation has netted him a fortune.
