Synopsis
Sixteen-year-old Xtra Keys lives in a violent world, and his survival depends on his ability to be hard and emotionless. The only person excluded from his cold persona is his infant son. Xtra wants to raise him better than his mother would, and this becomes a possibility when he starts going to the HIVE, an alternative school for boys who have been kicked out of the public school system for disciplinary problems or poor grades. The directors of the HIVE rule with love and discipline and expect excellence from their students, all of which are challenges to Xtra.
