Synopsis
Transgender Adineh, or "Eddie" as she calls herself, is waiting for her passport to be processed so she can go to Germany for female-to-male sex-reassignment surgery. The reason she is not getting the operation in Iran is that her wealthy father is determined to marry her off to a male cousin. Laying low while waiting for her papers, Eddie is almost assaulted by thugs when she flags down a passing car. It turns out the car is actually a clandestine taxi driven by Rana, a conservative young wife whose husband is in prison and cannot support the family. Although a woman driving a cab is taboo for someone in her social class, she cannot resist when Eddie offers her triple fare to get her to her hideout. But when Eddie tries to explain she is a transgender, Rana panics and drives in front of a bus.
