Synopsis

Professor Rasputin von Rotten builds a time machine in hopes of traveling back in time and changing history. Rotten's aim is to obtain credit for bringing fire and the wheel to the cavemen, discovering America, deposing King Arthur, and outshooting Buffalo Bill. Pablo, a monkey who has been imprisoned by Rotten, escapes with the professor's plans and takes them to Willy McBean, a young genius. Willy builds his own magic machine and manages to go back in time and thwart the professor's plans. He and Pablo visit the Wild West, meet Columbus in Spain and King Arthur at the Round Table, then visit King Tut in Egypt. Finally, they visit the cave dwellers of prehistoric times and save the professor's life. Rotten's machine is lost, but when he promises to behave, Willie and Pablo offer him a ride back in their time machine. The next day in school, Rotten turns up as a guest lecturer, and Willy realizes that the adventure in the time machine was only a dream.
