Synopsis
Psychiatrist Virginia Durant discusses several case histories and how they relate to her domestic problems. A daughter makes love to her father, who has been made impotent by his emasculating, adulterous wife. The daughter then attempts suicide. An elderly man becomes voyeuristic and masochistic after finding his mistress with another woman . Virginia's hippie daughter Diane, a college dropout, lives with her militant boyfriend Hal, an underground newspaper publisher. To investigate Hal's dubious intentions, Virginia and her boyfriend Jack attend a campus demonstration which turns into a riot. Dr. Durant then relates another case history. A doctor and father of a high school student gives his daughter and her friends birth control pills, essential to their jobs as afternoon prostitutes. Subsequently, the father exposes the racket by substituting placebos for the pills, and one girl becomes pregnant . Virginia poses as an interested contributor, meets with Hal, and is invited to an orgy. In an attempt to extort money from Virginia, Hal attacks her; but Jack comes to her rescue. Later, Diane announces her intention to reenter college.
