Synopsis

Tim, a former railroad detective, comes out of retirement to track down the killers of his foster father, Lightnin' Ed, who had been investigating a series of train robberies. Tim feels that Johnson is the head of the gang, but uses his henchman Speck to do his dirty work. Speck tries to ambush and kill Tim with the help of the rest of the gang, but fails. Joan Carter, who runs a local restaurant, tells Tim that Johnson wants to buy her father's ranch very cheaply. When Happy, Tim's pal, is killed, Tim decides to settle the score. He stops Carter from selling his ranch and later discovers that Johnson is really a railroad agent who is using his position to make high personal profits. Tim also finds out that Johnson and his gang have been responsible for the railroad robberies and murders. Johnson is arrested, and in a gunfight with Tim, Speck is killed. Tim now looks forward to the future with Joan.
