Synopsis
Stephen Dorning, an American who is jealous because his former girl friend, Lisa, has married a London lawyer, tricks her into believing that she has killed her husband's former mistress, Diane. When Lisa panics, Stephen offers to dispose of the body for her for £2,000. Diane is alive, however, and she and Stephen are being observed by Nicholas Steiner, whom Diane has rejected. After receiving the money from Lisa, Stephen puts Diane in a trunk and drives to a deserted stretch of road. When he stops to release her from the trunk, he discovers that she is really dead--murdered by Steiner in such a way as to incriminate Stephen.
