Synopsis

Gangsters Vince Mallard, Doc Wright, and Joe, searching for a forged document that belonged to an oil geologist they killed, chase the dead man's daughter, Barbara Collins, across the desert in Nevada. Caught and drugged, Barbara is rescued by Bob Martin and his German shepherd Bravo. While they are chased by the gangsters for several days, Bob kills Doc and saves Barbara when she is temporarily recaptured by Joe. Leaving Barbara alone on the trail, Bob doubles back and rigs an explosion that kills Vince. Barbara becomes lost, stumbles upon Joe, who has been driven insane by the heat, but is again rescued by Bob and Bravo. Bob takes Joe to a nearby sheriff's office, where Laslow, Barbara's father's unscrupulous partner, overhears Bob tell a policeman of Barbara's whereabouts. Laslow confronts Barbara in the desert and attacks her in his impatience to retrieve the forged oil report. Menaced by Bravo, Laslow falls off a cliff to his death.
