Synopsis

After participating in the massacre of a wagon train, a Cheyenne finds himself unable to kill the sole female survivor. Concluding that the Great Spirit has directed him to protect her, the Indian escorts the woman through hostile territory. En route they fall in love and are attacked by three white men, led by a Confederate cavalry veteran. After saving the Indian's life, the woman leaves with the white men. That night they rape her. Returning, her lover finds her maddened by the assault. Enraged, he tracks down her ravishers. He buries the first in sand, exposing his head, which the Indian coats with honey to attract ants; he ties the second to two saplings, which tear the rapist asunder when sprung; and he kills the third with a rattlesnake.
