Synopsis

Tex, working undercover for the sheriff to expose a gang of cattle rustlers, crosses the Mexican border and ends up at a tavern called Sadie's Place. There he becomes friends with Kansas, an outlaw and with Goldie, a fugitive from justice with whom he falls in love. Kansas helps Tex join the gang of rustlers headed by Rand. Hiding in the sheriff's office, Tex learns that the murder Goldie committed was ruled justifiable homicide. Rand suspects that Tex is an undercover man and when Goldie learns of Rand's suspicions, she tries to warn Tex who, thinking they are overheard, pretends not to understand her. She tells him she is wanted by the law and knowing his cover will be broken if he tells her she has been cleared, he offers instead to take her to Canada. Kansas is convinced of his innocence, but Rand is not so sure. After Tex gives his information to the sheriff, Tex and Rand have a gunfight in which Tex is wounded and Rand is killed. Kansas is shot by the sheriff's men and dies after making peace with Tex. Goldie and Tex plan to marry.
