Synopsis
Eluana Englaro becomes a tragic, national symbol in Italy when the decision is made by her father to end her life after seventeen years in a vegetative state. This drama affects the lives of four individuals with conflicting beliefs. A senator is torn between his conscience and his loyalty to the leaders of his party. His daughter, a pro-life activist, falls in love with Roberto, who advocates for secular values. A famous actress turns to her faith in the hope a miracle can bring her daughter out of a coma. And the beautiful Rossa, depressed and determined to die, is saved by the young doctor Pallido and reawakens to life.
