Synopsis
Johnnie, Bill, and Bert, three teenaged factory workers, enjoy their motorcycles until a dangerous incident causes them to lose their licenses. After being thrown out of a youth club for opening up a locked piano, they go to a church where the vicar catches them playing rock and roll music on the organ. Mr. Smith, the organist and choirmaster, is sympathetic, however, and offers them the choir hall to practice their music. Smith, who is working on a secret aircraft project, is also in charge of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme, in which all of the choir members are participating. After Johnnie has a brief romance with Smith's daughter Anne, Bill breaks away from the group and leads a gang attack on the church hall. Johnnie, ashamed of his former friend, is reluctant to return to his new friends, but Smith convinces him to come back and he receives a hearty welcome.
