Synopsis
Toward the end of the 4th century B. C., after the fall of Athens, Sparta continues its reign of terror throughout the Middle East. Led by the tyrant Rabirio, the army enslaves the village of Tur. Axel, a rebel, is condemned to death by starvation but is rescued by his brother Leslio and five former galley slaves. Rabirio, in reprisal, destroys the entire village and kills its citizens, including Leslio's mother and younger brother. Leslio, posing as the architect who is to build Rabirio's new villa, gains entrance to his palace. When he encounters Lydia, now Rabirio's mistress but once in love with Leslio, she does not betray him; but Rabirio eventually learns Leslio's true identity. A battle between Rabirio's army and the seven--Axel, Leslio, and the five former slaves--leads to the tyrant's death and the rescue of Lydia from a burning stake.
