Synopsis

A portrait of 70-year-old identical twins Louise and Martine Fokkens who have worked as prostitutes in Amsterdam's Red Light District for 50 years. During their storied careers, they helped establish the first trade union for prostitutes and ended up running their own brothel. While virtually inseparable, Louise has retired from the business and is trying to adjust to life away from sex work. Needing money, her sister Martine remains in the business and we observe her current day-to-day working life. While long-term fixtures in their industry, the sisters reveal how the work has changed beyond recognition as the old way of to doing things has long disappeared.
