Synopsis
When Ayse celebrates her wedding, the people of her Turkish village believe she married Hasan who is just a few years her senior. But in fact, she is sent to Vienna as Hasan's father Mustafa's second wife. Upon her arrival in Austria, Ayse receives a mixed welcome from the family. Mustafa's children turn their back on her. Only Fatma, Mustafa's terminally ill wife seems genuinely pleased to make Ayse's acquaintance. She now be assured that her successor will be a loyal and obedient Muslim wife to her husband. A special friendship evolves between the two women but it is soon put to the test when the family has to face a stroke of fate.
