Synopsis

When American independent filmmaker Caveh Zahedi is commissioned by a Middle Eastern Biennial to make a film embracing the theme of "art as a subversive act," he goes full throttle. Despite the fact he was told he could do anything but make fun of the Sheik, who rules the country and finances the Biennial, Zahedi decides to do just that. However, his court jester antics fail to amuse. The film ends up getting banned for blasphemy and Zahedi is threatened with a fatwa.
