Synopsis
A Coptic Christian, Namir's mother is convinced she can see the apparition of the Virgin Mary on a video tape originating from her home in Egypt. Her son, who was raised in a secular environment in France, travels to Egypt to make a film about the phenomenon. In trying to better understand the connection between appearances of the Virgin to the Copt minority, he soon runs into numerous obstacles. Feeling desperate, Namir decides to manufacture his own version of the Virgin Mary's appearance with the help of the local villagers and even his mother.
