Synopsis
Years after his brother's death, documentary filmmaker Michel Zongo travels to the Ivory Coast to learn the truth of what happened to him. His brother Joanny originally traveled there in search of work but was never heard from again. Upon his arrival, Zongo encounters a whole Burkinese community who labor under brutal conditions on cocoa and coffee plantations. They all hope to earn a lot of money before returning home, but in reality, this rarely happens if ever. These individuals are forced to bear the burden for their families and it comes with a great deal of pressure, guilt and shame.
