Synopsis

Sam Cooper, an old prospector who has at last discovered a rich vein of gold, invites young Manolo, whom he describes to dancehall hostess Annie as the only man he trusts, to help him dig out his gold in Nevada. Manolo brings with him Blonde, a ruthless killer. Sam counters by asking Mason, his old army buddy, to join the group. (Mason deserted with Sam and, though he blames Sam for the 3 years he spent in prison, joins the party for the money.) On the way, the four men wipe out a gang, and Blonde kills a man lost in the hills who turns out to be a marshal. Sam collects all the guns, and Mason beats Blonde to death when he attempts to grab one. Manolo is killed by Sam in order to save Mason; then Mason dies after saving Sam from two killers hired for protection. The gold is now entirely Sam's.
