Synopsis

"Rip Roaring" Ted Riley, a government agent, is dispatched to investigate the happenings on Diamond Island, where Major Grey, posing as an army official, is purportedly experimenting with a secret formula for poison gas. Ted crashes his motor boat near the island and is picked up by Grey's men, Franko, Sparky and Bruno. The island's residents include Professor Baker and his attractive daughter Ann. Duped by Grey, Baker has been manufacturing the gas. Ted warns the unsuspecting Baker, one of his college professors, that Grey is a criminal. After observing a test of the gas, Ted is convinced that it is the most deadly gas known to science. When Grey forbids everyone to leave the island, Ted starts a fight that breaks the glass tank holding the gas. Ted, Ann and Baker flee before they are affected by the gas. Barricading themselves in Grey's house, Ted, Ann and Baker stuff every crack and crevice with cloth in order to prevent the gas from seeping into the house. Ted finds a radio in the attic and contacts a United States battleship. A submarine chaser lands at the island and sailors in gas masks come to the aid of the helpless trio. Grey and his men are dead, and Ted, Ann and Baker are almost unconscious when they are found. Safe on the boat, Ann looks forward to her future with her father and Ted.
