Synopsis

Bob Houston is on vacation from school visiting his father in Apache Gulch, and discovers that the Arizona Rangers, of which is father is a member, has been officially disbanded. The Rangers decide to go on one last mission, and they capture the notorious Hashknife Brooks, guilty of stagecoach robbery and murder. Although they arrest Hashknife, the rest of his gang remains at large, and their cache of gold is never found. Bob returns home after finishing school to rekindle his romance with Barbara Reynolds, daughter of Ben Reynolds, the former captain of the Rangers. Ben has been killed and Bob and his father suspect Brooks, who recently escaped from prison. The Rangers join together again to capture Brooks. When Ranger Buck Lawlor trails after Gomez, a suspect, Apache Joe shoots him in the back. Bob seizes the Indian, who refuses to confess. At the ranch, Brooks and Gomez kidnap Bob's father and Barbara. Under duress, the Indian promises to lead the Rangers to the gang hideout. Bob and Slim, another Ranger who barely escaped from his domineering wife in order to rejoin his pals, find his father and Barbara at a different location. Houston rides to warn the Rangers of an ambush before they reach their destination, while after tying up Brooks, Bob rides to his friends, the Apache Indians, to call on their help, and Slim takes Barbara to the ranch. After their wagon crashes, Brooks, who has been released by Gomez, kidnaps Barbara. Houston reaches the Rangers just as they are ambushed, but they win the battle with the help of the Apaches, and Apache Joe is killed. After Bob struggles with Brooks, Slim shoots Brooks and helps Bob rescue Barbara from quicksand, where Brooks left her to die.
