Synopsis

Connie Hayden, the pampered daughter of a multimillionaire, is startled when her mother demands a divorce and blames their family's wealth as the cause of the marital rift. Connie is engaged to, but does not love, wealthy society man Noel Nevins; she meets Jeff MacLean, an insurance salesman, who saves her from two men who accost her on a deserted road during a storm, and his interest in efficiency methods interests her. Soon she begins to find the thought of marrying Noel intolerable, but Jeff resists marrying into wealth; while she is entertaining aboard her father's yacht, Eric Danforth, a former beau, advises her to go after her man; returning to Jeff's cabin, she cooks breakfast for him, and their affection is renewed. Connie tries unsuccessfully to break her previous engagement; but on her wedding day, Jeff's dog arrives with a note announcing his departure. Arrayed in her bridal gown, she drives to his cabin and assures him of her love.
