Synopsis
At the International Gran Prix boat race in Miami, hydroplane racer Lee Gunner sees his father killed by a boat piloted by millionaire playboy Gregg Stevenson. Linda, Lee's sister and Gregg's mistress, claims the killing was an accident. Suspicious, Lee visits Gregg's home and is told by his wife, Martha, that although she knows Gregg has other mistresses, she will not divorce him. Lee and Connie, Gregg's daughter, fall in love, and over the objections of her father, decide to marry. Linda discovers Gregg in a hotel room with a dancer, reveals that she is pregnant, and insists that he marry her. He refuses, and after the next race, during which Lee saves Gregg's life, Linda shoots Gregg as he returns to his yacht. Connie and Lee are reunited over Gregg's dead body.
