Synopsis
In 1979 in the Soviet Union, twenty-something cousins Carole and Jérôme travel to Odessa, pretending to be a honeymooning couple. They follow guided tours during the day, but at night they meet secretly with refuzniks, Jews harassed by the Soviet regime by denying them exit visas. While bringing them messages, Carole and Jérôme learn about the absurd life conditions of the refuzniks. Carole takes the job very seriously but Jérôme's motivation lies in his unspoken love for his cousin whom he eventually attempts to seduce. And when Carole realizes they are getting closer than she dares admit, they begin to arouse suspicion from the KGB.
