Synopsis

In February of 2009, a group of workers, who are put on welfare by the Vinyls company, decide to take over the prison on Asinara in protest. They demand the re-opening of the factories. At first, it is a desperate battle with an extreme protest. Then, little by little, the world becomes aware of their story as it gets picked up by the newspaper, the internet and various broadcasts. What began as a traditional trade union battle becomes visible thanks to non-traditional fighting methods. But as the months, and then, a year goes by, the factories remained closed. While it does not seem that anything has changed, in reality, everything has changed. Above all, the men have changed. They are no longer only workers bound together by a singular purpose, they have lived together, suffered together, and had fun together.
