Synopsis
On June 24, 1991, Ghislaine Marchal was found dead in the basement of her villa in Mougins, beside her a blood-smeared letter, stating "Omar killed me." A few days later, Omar Raddad, her gardener, was arrested. He spoke little, hard to understand French, and had a reputation for being quiet and serious. Nobody doubted his guilt. He stayed in prison for seven years until he was pardoned. In 1994 writer Pierre-Emmanuel Vaugrenard, learns of the case and is convinced of Omar's innocence. Vaugrenard moves to Nice to conduct his own investigation and writes a book about the case.
