Synopsis

Ade and Femi are expatriate Nigerian brothers who live very different lives. Ade is a successful London banker and Femi, who was once a political dissident in his country, escaped to South Africa to live in refugee tenements and work menial jobs. The siblings have been estranged for years and their relationship is further complicated by issues of betrayal, guilt and scorn. During a visit to Johannesburg, Ade discovers his brother has gone missing. He begins to look into Femi's mysterious disappearance, reconstructing what he can find out about his life. While visiting Femi's former boss in one of the townships, a riot erupts and Ade is forced to take shelter with the employer. The escalating violence outside influences their exchanges, and eventually, results in explosive revelations.
