Synopsis

Fast-talking French painter Jean Marc Calvet recounts his life in this documentary. Calvet was born in the South of France where he became a self-destructive person who lived as a street kid, Foreign Legionnaire, vice cop, professional bodyguard, and thug. When he went to Miami to work for a Mafia boss, he stole money from the man to finance a drug binge in Costa Rica. So at 38, he was on the run in Central America where he had decided that death was his only way out when he discovered painting. Now a successful artist whose work sells for thousands of dollars, Calvet returns to France to find his son whom he abandoned when the boy was six years old.
