Synopsis
Rene Dadiani has developed a new method to alter consciousness called "absurd theory", which involves ignoring reality and channeling one's thoughts to match desires. Rene ends up putting his theory into practice, and as a result, he discovers his life heading in unexpected directions. In the evenings, he lectures on film theory and encourages his students to explore their ambitions. During the day, he leaves his middle class enclave for a part-time job delivering propane to The Dregs, a slum on the outskirts of town filled with degenerate squatters. On otherwise routine delivery, Renee has an altercation with an aggressive tenant, which results in an act of murderous rage or does it? No longer certain what is fantasy versus reality, Rene realizes that only through an unlikely friendship with a young boy that can he begin to discover the truth.
