Synopsis
For 18 years, documentary filmmaker Steve Lickteig enjoyed life on his family's Kansas farm with eight brothers and sisters, all the biological children of his adoptive parents. But on the eve of his high school graduation, he discovers he is not the child of an anonymous woman, but of someone much closer to home. In fact, his entire town knew the identity of his birth mother and kept it a secret. Wanting to know the whole truth, Lickteig sets out to document the surprising twists of his own real-life story.
