Synopsis
In the Brazilian rainforest, a land dispute will potentially outlive the forest itself. On one side, there are the Xavante who have returned after a disastrous forced displacement, and on the other, are the ranchers with their hungry herds. To further complicate the situation are the squatters, granted rights to the land by a government measure. Plus the landless--a movement inspired by liberation theology--are thrown into the mix.
