KTD 2020

KTD 2020 is a sci-fi thriller set in the not too distant future about a new live reality game show ('Kill The Dead') ready to feed a public insatiable for celebrity and sensationalism. The show is the latest bid for infamy by a powerful media magnate Robert Kurtzman, who has acquired the sole rights to scientific technology known as TTX, which can temporarily resuscitate dead bodies and allow them to function actively... The games begin with a glitzy, glamorous launch of KTD. We meet the group of 'celebrities' including two fame hungry 'winners' incarcerated in a building which has a number of resuscitated corpses released into it, each armed with a different weapon yet 'safe' in that they are constrained by micro-chip technology. The audience enjoy a live interactive broadcast transmitted globally to computers, televisions, cell phones, even giant screens in city squares, and they relish the ability to decide who is providing the best entertainment for them...this is the ultimate reality show! Kurtzman unveils his daughter Megan as a contestant in KTD, unbeknown to the rest of the group she will be his 'eyes & ears' on the inside. Can the contestants avoid the traps, locate the weapons and kill the corpses within 72 hours? The rewards will be enormous for the winner with the highest 'kill count' - money and notoriety beyond their wildest dreams - $100 million to be exact! But even the best thought out plans can go awry and when one of the celebrities is accidently killed, the other participants believe that the games will end. Kurtzman has to make a decision, stop the games and lose all his investment or let the show continue and put the contestants in immediate danger. The decision is an easy one for him to make. The Contestants quickly realise that the 'life giver' or TTX reacts abnormally within different carcasses and discover to their horror that whilst they can kill the dead, the tables can also be turned....and the question is no longer who will win, but who can survive? The participants, now led by Melissa, make a pact to band together and fight their way out at whatever cost. Once all the 'Dead' have been killed Melissa knows that Kurtzman must be her last target. But between Kurtzman and Melissa is Tyler, a serial killer when alive and still a killing machine when dead...
